Finding An Excellent Phone Service Deal

Finding An Excellent Phone Service Deal

In this day and age most of us are in need of a cellular phone to make our life easier so here are some good pointers that best suits our needs.

When you shop around for a cell phone deal that is best for you, the experience can be as daunting as looking for a new car or house. After all this is a service that locks you in a deal that takes up two, three or even longer periods of your life and therefore you have to make sure that it fits in your comfort zone. To get to there, there are ways to avoid the headaches and stomach ulcers. All you have to do is to follow these simple pointers and that way you will for sure a plan that suits you down to a tee avoiding any painful repercussions.

The first tip is simple. Just ask someone who you know that uses or even depends on their cellular phone. If you are like me you will definitely know someone whose life is spent checking that little box for text messages or playing a game on it while waiting for either the next text or a ring from someone they know. Ask them what plans they use, and the service they use for that particular plan. Even coworkers, neighbors, and other people who don’t know you so well will be open about their cell phones usually. It could be that one of the plans that attracted you when you read an ad could be confirmed as the best deal or on the other hand you might hear it is not worth the time or money in taking it up. Therefore carefully gauging their reaction will give you a very good idea about what is a good plan or service, and what isn’t.

By doing the above, you will come away with a list of different providers and their good points and bad. Now you will need to create a short list of this list (if it is a long one) to find the best cellular phone deal. This might involve some research of your own. Service plans and offers change monthly, if not daily, so even if the week before you thought you got a good deal, it might no longer be available at the good price it had. It sometimes depends on where you live, as some areas are allocated different deals to others, depending on the demand and other factors. For this you best check with the provider by calling them to make sure you can have that deal that you want.

The even more convenient way to make these checks is by going online. All you would then need to is type your address or zip code and you will instantly be presented with a list of all the cell phone providers in your area, as well as their offers, rates and phones. So by taking a few minutes to talk to friends and family, and spending a few minutes on the Internet, you could find yourself with a cellular phone service deal that best suits you.

I trust the above will help you in your quest to find a cellular phone deal that is best for you. Or at least given you a good pointer in the right direction.

Cingular works best for us. My husband is also an over-the-road truck driver. We have had our existing plan for a couple of years and have been very pleased so far. There are always spots where the coverage is not good or you will drop calls but for the most part, we almost always have a good signal. He will need a pretty good size plan, though. All of our driving friends use their phones constantly, for work and for friends and family. Our plan is 4000 anytime minutes with free mobile to mobile, rollover, and all the extras so we pay about $200 a month. Of course, that is tax deductible as a business expense.

I am with Cricket.

I like it because I do not have to count minutes, I get unlimited text messaging for $5.00 per month. I haven't had a dropped call in many moons. My cell phone bills are manageable; no surprises.

I do not like the fact that when I call their 800# help line I call to some overseas phone center.

We use an ATT family plan, no texting or insurance but all the other extras like call waiting , forwarding, v-mail, nationwide roaming and unlimited long nationwide distance etc.

We have a block of time per month, about 700 anytime minutes with roll over minutes. We always have a surplus at the end of the month and seem to be losing roll over minutes faster than we can use them.

Bottom line we spend $110 total (with taxes etc) for 5 phones. And the price doesn't go up and down because we don't tolerate the over charges. Don't ever base your pricing on their advertised plan price without taking into consideration the taxes and fees. It is always a significant factor more, at least 15%, usually as much as 20%,

Make sure to use equipment wisely. No downloads or texting. No fancy hula hoop features like silly television over your phone. If the kids run up charges then they either have to work it off and pay the diference or lose their phone for a month.

The first time you confiscate a phone is the hardest but they get the idea quick that it is NOT an entitlement and if they don't cooperate on responsible usage then there is always the option of closing the account.

Have you talked to your ATT provider to get a better plan?

They will sit with you on the phone and help tailor a plan to your needs if you call them and negotiate. You can research the current plan offerings online but sometimes the sales rep will know of an option that is not listed.

BTW the family plan option also means that all calls between you and the other members do not accumlate minute charges. Also ATT does not charge minutes for any calls to other ATT phones.

I believe all the networks offer this option now anyway but often you ONLY get what you ask for so make sure you ask your sales rep for the sky even if you have to just settle for the clouds. ;~)

http://www.tracfone.com it is awesome it is a prepaid phone with no age limits no montly bills no hidden fees/costs and no contracts and with all the calling features such as free voicemail free caller id free call waiting and free nationwide long distance. all for as little as $10 a month calculated minimum usage because you have to buy a minute card every 60 or every 365 days depending on if you bought the year service card because the cheapest minute card is 20 dollars and you would have to add one every 60 days it would be around $10 a month which isnt bad. Hope this Helps!!!!!! Tracfone Wireless is awesome good luck choosing your phone!!

P.S. and a phone kit is only about $20 bucks @ your local walmart walgreens and family dollar stores etc. this includes up to 20 minutes and 60 days of wireless service included
And I will tell you when Tracfone Says they have "Nationwide coverage" they absolutely mean it I use it all the time and I would rather have nationwide coverage across the U.S. than have free mobile web on fridays with boost mobile but it all depends on the user preference or even if you want to make the monthly cost go down get a year service card for $100 and it works out to be $8.33 a month which is even cheaper than the $10 I mentioned earlier.

Hope this helps!! :)

The minimum rate is like ยข4000, less than $10.

Stop at almost any pharmacy and buy a tracfone for anywhere from $10 to $16. You buy units as you need them. I am in a program that gives me double units for the same price, but I use mine a lot.

They also have an international calling plan that makes calls to about 65 countries including Canada count as local calls and you can also get up to two more numbers for the same phone so that friends and family in either Canada or Mexico can call you as a local call.

If you would like more information, you can contact me or check tracfone.com
